Here's a quick post.
I received a really cute gift from one of the teachers at my school this week. She's not an English teacher, so we don't get to talk that much, but she's always been very nice to me. Last week, she found me in the English office and asked me what animal I liked (dog, cat, bunny, etc.). I told her dogs were my favorite animal and she said that she'd remember it. She also asked if I preferred dogs with ears that stick up or flop down. I was left wondering if anything was going to come of this conversation. Then, yesterday she gave me a set of stamps that she handmade! They have my name (written in English and two different ways in Japanese) and some cute dogs on them! The teachers at my school have given me many kind presents, but this is definitely the coolest one.
I'm excited because Mom and Dad are arriving in Japan tomorrow! They'll be spending a little more than a week here in Japan. Of course, I took time off of work while they're here. On Friday and Saturday we'll be taking a trip down to Kyoto and during the rest of their trip I'm going to show them around Tokyo. I can't wait to see them!
Handmade stamps? *looks at picture* Oh, those kinds of stamps. I kept thinking postal stamps.
